Psybercity __ about the city and the people.
This is the blog of Katerina Skroumpelou (me!). I currently work as an Associate Researcher at the Integrated Systems Laboratory of the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”.
I am also a PhD student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.
This blog deals with the city and its people, and their ways around it. It deals with the city in the age of information and the age of individuality. A city of information flows (a cyber-city) and also a city of people (psy-che, soul).
Before joining NTUA, I studied for a year at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, at University College London (UCL). Last September, I completed my dissertation project that had to do with the perception of distance in the blind and sighted people.
I am currently researching into the area of Internet of things, in support of smart cyber-physical systems.
In this blog you can read essays submitted at UCL, and other things that might come up during my research.
